Administrative Communication 10/15/2021

Dear Emmanuel Family,

We have reached the end of a quick first quarter and are headed into the second half of the first semester. We have several important pieces of information in this communication. Please reference The Week Ahead HERE for upcoming events and other announcements.

FAMILY DEMOGRAPHIC SURVEY

Please fill out this short survey to help us with planning the school calendar.

CHROMEBOOK CARE

Please train your family members to treat the ECA Chromebooks properly. Accidental damage and breakages have been on the rise. Please read the Student Handbook Chromebook Policies for best practices and for your financial responsibilities.

STRATEGIC PLAN PARENT FOCUS GROUPS

Strategic planning is important to Emmanuel because it will provide a new sense of direction and outline measurable goals for the next 3-4 years. Once it is completed, the Strategic Plan guides day-to-day decision making and it is used to evaluate forward progress.

The planning process begins in November with focus groups. Our consultant, Lee Reno, will lead the meetings that gather feedback and insights from its participants. We are looking for a dozen parents to participate in one of our three dates/times on November 11:

  • 8:00AM - 10:00AM in the Roar Room/Conference Room

  • 1:00PM - 3:00PM in the Roar Room/Conference Room

  • 6:00PM - 8:00PM via Remote Google Meeeting

Please email John Essig at jessig@ecaoh.com to sign up to attend one of these three opportunities ASAP.

PARENT ADVISORY COUNCIL MEMBERSHIP

We are looking for a few new members for the Parent Advisory Council (PAC). The PAC reviews policies that are emailed in advance and then discussed with administration (typically for one hour on a Saturday morning). Please email John Essig at jessig@ecaoh.com if you are interested or if you would like additional information.

Continue to pray for each other and for our community, and “Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace.” - Ephesians 4:3

Blessings,
