  • April 8 - 9:30-10:17 AM (GYM) Student Culture Engagement - Sexuality

  • April 9 - 2:15-3:10 PM 10-minute Engagement Review in the GYM then 30-minute breakout in your Small Group Classroom

Friday, April 9th Agenda for Small Group Leaders

Part 1 – Gym Assembly: (15 minutes)

  • Axis provides a brief overview and set up the discussion questions

Part 2 – Discussion Questions: (35 minutes)

  • Dating

    • What about the idea of dating is scary?

    • Is it okay to wait for “first dates” after high school? Why?

    • Is chemistry something you look for or something you work to maintain?

    • How do we decide how far is too far? (Meaning, the Bible doesn’t explicitly say what kind of kissing is acceptable. So where is the line?)

    • Is it ok to have conflict in your relationships? If so, what does that look like to you?

  • Sexuality

    • If we received the good gift of sexuality from God, why would he want us to limit it?

    • What is the difference between desiring someone and lusting?

    • What is the difference between purity and virginity? (hint - purity has to do with matters of the heart as well as action.)

    • How do you think our culture would change if we stopped reducing people down to just the way they look?

Part 3 – Prayer: (5 minutes)

  • Use this time to pray for each other. You can do that by keeping a prayer request journal or by asking for personal prayer requests or prayers that relate to the day’s topic.

Thank you!
