Part 2 – Sharing: 25 minutes
Have three different individuals read the following verses aloud and briefly explain the meaning of the verse.
Psalm 139:16, “Your eyes saw my unformed body; all the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be.”
Proverbs 15:22, “Without counsel plans fail, but with many advisors they succeed.”
Ecclesiastes 11:9, “You who are young, be happy while you are young, and let your heart give you joy in the days of your youth. Follow the ways of your heart and whatever your eyes see, but know that for all these things God will bring you into judgment.”
Group Leader read the quote by author Fredrick Buechner Then use the following questions to dig deeper and to lead into your prayer time.
"The place God calls you to is the place where your deep gladness and the world’s deep hunger meet."
Discussion questions for each person to answer:
Describe what gives you “deep gladness“.
What “cause“ or “mission“ is intriguing to you?
Just dreaming here… how might God use your calling to meet a need in our culture some day?
None of us have our calling completely figured out. Describe what you don’t know about your calling.
Part 3 – Prayer: 10 minutes
